GMA-7’s new gold mine

MARIAN Rivera is on cloud nine these days. You can’t blame her as her teleserye, Marimar, got so far the highest rating exceeding 44%, the highest since the premiere telecast. It is just a few percent away from the Pacquiao-Barrera fight. GMA 7 has been proven right in their choice of Marian. Now, no one seems to care if Angel Locsin has flown off the Kapuso coup.

It will take sometime before Marimar gets off our consciousness. Remember the saying, pag maganda ang resulta, nanganganak nang nanganganak ang istorya, and this could happen to Marimar.

We know that remakes like this costs a fortune but it seems GMA-7 doesn’t mind. What matters most is people from all walks of life, the poor and the rich, religiously watch Marimar. GMA obviously has found another gold mine in Marian.

She and leading man, Dingdong Dantes are such a big hit wherever they go. In Bacolod yesterday, shrieks were endless as they appeared before the huge crowd at the SM Bacolod. It really goes to show that she is now a big star.
