GMA-7 vs ABS-CBN sa Asian TV Awards
POSTED na sa kanilang official website (www. asiantvawards. com) ang listahan ng mga nominado para sa 12th Asian TV Awards na nakatakdang ganapin sa Nobyembre sa Singapore.
Nakakuha ng 11 nominations ang GMA Network samantalang 4 naman ang natanggap ng ABS-CBN sa iba’t ibang kategorya.

Best News Program: Bandila: Subic Rape Case Promulgation (ABS-CBN), TV Patrol World: Taguig Hostage Drama (ABS-CBN) at 24 Oras: Super Typhoon Melinyo (GMA Network).
Best Current Affairs Program: Reporter’s Notebook: Giyera sa Lebanon (GMA Network).
Best Game or Quiz Program : Pilipinas: Game Ka Na Ba? (ABS-CBN)
Best Reality Program : Wish Ko Lang: Maestro (GMA Network)
Best Infotainment Programme: Kapuso Mo, Jessica (GMA Network).
Best Social Awareness Programme: Emergency: Batang Magsusunog (GMA Network) at The Philippine Agenda: Education (GMA Network).
Best Current Affairs Presenter: Jiggy Manicad (Reporter’s Notebook”/GMA Network), Maki Pulido (Reporter’s Notebook).
Best Drama Performance by an Actor: Dennis Trillo (Unico Hijo/APT Entertainment/GMA Network).
Best Drama Performance by an Actress: Gina Pareno (Maalaala Mo Kaya: Jail/ABS-CBN).
Best Comedy Performance by an Actor: Michael V (Bubble Gang/GMA Network) at Ogie Alcasid (Bubble Gang/GMA Network).
There are 3 main categories sa 12th ATA namely: Program , Performance and Technical Categories. Sa pagkakatanda namin, sa taong 2005 ay nakakuha ng nominasyon ang Encantadia bilang Best Original Musical Score and in 2004, pinarangalan si Jerry Sineneng bilang best director pero this year, tila naging mailap ang technical category sa GMA at ABS-CBN.
In 2004, GMA Network was voted Terrestrial Channel of the Year besting other giant networks in the Asian region.
Michael V has won the Best Performance by a Comedy Actor three years in a row para sa Bubble Gang, at kung papalarin this year, ito na ang kanyang fourth trophy mula sa Asian TV Awards.
In 2005, he bested Comedy King Dolphy for the award and in 2006, tinalo niya si Keempee de Leon (nominated for Bahay Mo Ba ‘To) para sa naturang kategorya.
May 17 official jurors na siyang maghuhusga ng mga mananalo. Isa sa mga juror ay si Cheche Lazaro ng Probe Productions at ABS-CBN.
