Gladys Guevarra as Chuchay in "Magic Kamison"

GLADYS Guevarra is certainly on the roll. When some people thought she’s a goner after she resigned from Eat Bulaga, now here she is, topbilling a new TV series that will amaze and make you laugh, “Magic Kamison.”Inspired by Mother Lily Monteverde’s personal lucky charm, a kamison, which she thinks had catapulted some of Regal Films’ brightest stars like Cherrie Gil, Lorna Tolentino, Alma Moreno, Gina Alajar, Rio Locsin, to name just a few, to fame, “Magic Kamison” is a combination of magic and comedy.Set for Febuary 4 airing, right after ‘SOP’ every Sunday, the new entertainment package will run for one season. “Magic Kamison” is about Chuchay (Gladys) who has a pure and kind heart. An old woman whom Chuchay saved from a road accident gave her the magical chemise which, once worn can make a person realize a dream. Chuchay, according to Gladys, is actually the name of her four-year old niece whom she is fond of. She used the moniker as her character in ‘Eat Bulaga’ and clicked with the audience. Playing the male lead is Alfred Vargas while Nadine Samonte and Iwa Moto play best friends. Even while Iwa is ugly and Nadine is a beauty, they stick together proving that friendship is the most important thing on earth. A man (played by Alfred) comes between them and that’s when the problem starts. So, what will be the magic kamison play in the story? Don’t fail to watch it. Pilita Corrales provides the voice for the magic kamison, while Tia Pusit and Joy Viado give the much-needed comic support. Khryss Adalia directs.
