The project is “Hide and Seek” which stars talented actors Eric Quizon, Jean Garcia, Alessandra de Rossi, Ryan Eigenmann, and the sensational love team of Mart Escudero and Jennica Garcia --who are being launched in this big-budget and heart-pounding movie. This is the first movie of Mart and Jennica who gained national fame and legions of fans through the top-rating primetime drama “Impostora.” The hot and new romantic pair now star in GMA Network’s “Pasan Ko Ang Daigdig” and “Boys Next Door.”
Also in the cast of “Hide and Seek” are Valeen Montenegro, Rubirubi, Julijo Pisk and Angel Sy.
Eric plays Oliver, a university professor, who is tried and then acquitted in a high-profile crime. He and wife Leah (Jean) with son Uno (Julijo) and Nica (Jennica) go to the province to calm down after a very stressful event in their lives. Nica actually resents her stepfather whom she believes is actually guilty. Trailing the family is the character played by Mart, a very persistent suitor of Nica.
Unknown to Oliver and family, the mansion where they take refuge is haunted. Ghosts from the corners of the home and ghosts from the corners of their hearts appear to taunt the family. They might be able to run away from the creepy creatures that seek them but can they escape from the monsters within them?
Executive producer Mother Lily Monteverde sums up the premise of “Hide and Seek” this way: “The more you hide, the more ghosts will seek you.”
“Hide and Seek” is the second horror movie of Regal to be shown this year; it comes on the heels of “Tiyanaks” which did extremely well at the box-office when it was shown early 2007. “Horror is my forte,” says the producer who has been making movies for more than 40 years. “The genre has become my specialty because I know what would scare the movie audience. I myself get scared easily.”
Aside from her gut feel, instinct for what makes a great horror movie, Mother also has a sixth sense. “Like noong pumunta ako sa shooting ng ‘Hide and Seek’ sa Pampanga, naramdaman ko na may mga multo doon. Tumayo ang mga balahibo ko sa braso!”
Mother Lily and Hide and Seek director Rahyan Carlos promise a motion picture that will make your hair stand and make you grip your seat. “Hide and Seek” is written by Gina Marissa Tagasa. It opens in theaters nationwide on October 31.
