THE toprated “Mga Mata ni Anghelita” is ending next week and GMA7 held a special thanksgiving presscon to the press. The last few episodes will be more thrilling than ever, with Tonton Gutierrez as Solcar, the father of Krystal Reyes as Anghelita (mind you, he’s also in ABS-CBN’s “Lastikman” as the father of Vhong Navarro), turning out to be the leader of the evil forces plaguing the town of Sta. Maria. Angelita dies and is brought to a magical realm where she hovers unsconscious. Only the missing crown of the Virgin Mary (Lucy Torres) can bring her back to life and it’s up to the Angel Gabriel (Marvin Agustin) to do this mission. Carmina Villarroel as Cristina is grieving that she lost Anghelita, the daughter she’s been searching for for so long.
The whole town is now in the clutches of Solcar who unleashes the full might of his evil power by resurrecting the dead and calling dark creatures of the underworld to kill the helpless townspeople. Find out what happens next as the show reaches its mind-boggling climax.
We asked Krystal Reyes how she feels now that “Anghelita” is about to end? “It’s sad kasi very close na ko sa buong cast, lalo na kay Tito Marvin na laging may pasalubong sa’kin sa set, at kina Paolo Contis at Isabel Oli who hosted a birthday party for me when I turned 11 on September 3. This is my most difficult show so far after ‘Princess Charming’ and ‘Bakekang’. Kasi pinagko-contact lens ako rito to be convincing as a blind girl at na-irritate ang mata ko.”
Replacing “Anghelita” is Richard Gutierrez’ “Kamandag.” We heard that the plan to make Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras in the remake of “My Only Love” has been changed. They will now star in the remake of “Patayin Mo sa Sindak si Barbara,” a Celso Ad. Castillo movie that has had two movie versions.
