GMA’s comedy block gets bigger

CHECK IT OUTSOMETHING big will happen on GMA Network’s top-rating comedy block. Philippine television’s strongest and undisputed comedy block, GMA KiliTV, will get even bigger and better with the many changes that will happen beginning this Saturday, April 14, when it launches its “Todo Saya Party!” campaign. No other block in Philippine television can be funnier and jollier than GMA KiliTV, and GMA comedy shows have long been an undefeated lot because of viewers who continue to join in the fun and laughter that these shows bring. As a way of showing gratitude and appreciation for the support Filipino viewers have been giving KiliTV shows, GMA-7 will make its sitcoms even better and more hilarious with great changes that viewers must watch out for—exciting new looks, sets, stars, gimmicks, promos, special episodes, and even a new show! GMA KiliTV’s “Todo Saya Party!” will kick off this Saturday with Bitoy’s Funniest Videos, which boasts of a new set and interesting new and revamped segments and promos: “Guess Who,” which introduces a celebrity guest in disguise and gives the audience the chance to guess the real identity of the celebrity behind the cover-up, with the winner bringing home P2,000; the semi-regular segment “Kita K,” wherein televiewers must identify the four separate occasions K Brosas appears on the show to get a chance to win P10,000; and more advanced, modified versions of regular segments “J4K” and “Yari Ka!” among others. Meanwhile, HP! To the Highest Level! launches its new look and more fun thematic games. More behind-the-scenes footage will now also be seen in the show, to illustrate how, in the spirit of sportsmanship, some celebrity guest contestants and regular cast members let their hair down to win the games, while the comic commentaries on contestants’ booboos will now be voiced.

NEW SHOW LAUNCHEDON Monday, April 16, GMA KiliTV will launch its new show, Who’s Your Daddy Now? a hilarious sitcom starring Joey Marquez and Raymart Santiago whose characters’ bachelor days will come to an end when young newcomer Alynna Asistio’s character comes claiming that one of them is her father. Airing after GMA Telebabad, Who’s Your Daddy Now? also stars Jean Garcia, Paolo Contis, Julia Lopez, and Celia Rodriguez. GMA KiliTV’s Tuesday sitcom Bahay Mo Ba ‘To? boasts of new sets and new gimmicks that would certainly drive viewers even crazier.

NUTS’ NEW PLAYMATESMeanwhile, in line with “Todo Saya Party!” Nuts Entertainment will begin its 4th Anniversary celebration on Wednesday, April 18, by welcoming its new playmates, Alfred Vargas and Joyce Jimenez (who will be with the show for a month). It will also introduce its sexier new look, new promos, wackier new segments, and more thrilling new games to watch out for—there will be the “fake lie detector test,” “Beat the Gibbs,” “Join Ka Nuts,” and a really intriguing segment that would have Joey de Leon as moderator for real people with real issues settling their argument through games on the show.

BUBBLE GANG WELCOMES MARK, KATRINA AND JEWEL PHILIPPINE TV’s longest-running and undefeated gag show, Bubble Gang, which airs every Friday, will also welcome Mark Herras, Katrina Halili, and Jewel Mische of Starstruck Batch 4 as semi-regulars on the show. It will also introduce new segments, including “Iyo Tube,” the gang’s version of the popular “You Tube” and “Asan ang Treasure?” a satire of primetime blockbuster Asian Treasures, with the pilot episode shot in Boracay’s Fairways and Blue Water. The segment “Tsuper Twins,” with Michael V and Ogie Alcasid spoofing GMA’s Super Twins, will also continue its hilarious run. Meanwhile, the summer episodes airing on April 13 and 20 were also shot on location in Boracay.

NEW KILITV LOGOGMA KiliTV also unveiled a glossier, more sophisticated new KiliTV logo, and recently launched its amusing new jingle, which takes from the election fever that has hit the country—as its chorus goes “Ha! Ha! Ha! Hi! Hi! Hi! Vote straight! To be happy and gay!”
